WI-TERT Memorandum of Understanding
The WI-TERT reached its first major milestone on March 27, 2007 when the WI-TERT MOU between WEM, WI-NENA, WI-APCO and the SEWCRSG was signed. The MOU was created to clarify the roles and responsibilities of the four organizations and provides procedures that will guide these organizations in the use of the WI-TERT.

Organizational Structure
The WI-TERT will include a network of trained dispatchers comprised of volunteers from public safety agencies throughout Wisconsin. These volunteers will be organized into Regional teams available for deployment. The geographical borders of the regions are based on Wisconsin Emergency Management’s six regions and each region will have two Regional Leaders, a primary and a secondary. The Regional Leaders are expected to work in close coordination with one another and with the WI-TERT Steering Committee.
WI-TERT Organizational Chart
At this time the WI-TERT Steering Committee is still looking for Regional Leaders for the Northwest, West Central and Southwest regions. If you are interested or if you know of any qualified public safety communication professionals interested in becoming a Regional Leader, please contact one of the Steering Committee members.
